Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions ("Agreement") govern the provision of pressure washing services by S Olsen Trading as Mr Fast Jet ("Company") to its customers ("Customer"). By engaging the services of the Company based on a quote, the Customer agrees to be bound by this Agreement.
Scope of Services
1.1 The Company agrees to provide pressure washing services to the Customer as agreed upon in the written quotation, which may include the cleaning of brick, concrete, stone, tarmac, glass, gutters, wooden and composite decking, and other surfaces as specified in the agreed-upon scope of work.
1.2 The Customer acknowledges that some jobs (re sanding block paving for example) may require return visits after a dry spell so not all work may take place at one time/on the same day.
Inspection
2.1 On the date of carrying out the works the company will make note of photograph or video any visible pre existing defects. It is acknowledged by the customer that some defects may not become apparent until cleaning works have begun if defects where covered by dirt, moss, growth, or grass etc. If found during the works the company will photograph/video and make the customer aware at the first available opportunity.
Use of Chemicals
3.1 The Company may use appropriate cleaning chemicals, detergents, and solvents ("Chemicals") as deemed necessary for effective pressure washing, unless otherwise specified by the Customer.
3.2 The Company shall exercise reasonable care in the selection and use of Chemicals, taking into consideration the nature of the surfaces being cleaned and any specific requirements communicated by the Customer.
3.3 The Customer acknowledges that certain surfaces may require specialized Chemicals and agrees to inform the Company of any specific requirements or sensitivities related to the cleaning process.
Obligations of the Customer
4.1 The Customer shall provide accurate and complete information about the surfaces to be cleaned, including materials and any specific instructions or concerns regarding the cleaning process.
4.2 The Customer shall ensure that all movable objects, including vehicles, furniture, toys and potted plants, are removed from the areas to be pressure washed before the Company's arrival, unless otherwise agreed upon. The Company accepts no liability for any items they are asked to move on the customers behalf to allow the pressure washing to take place.
4.3 The Customer shall provide the Company with access to the necessary water supply for the provision of pressure washing services via an outdoor tap.
4.4 The Customer acknowledges that certain surfaces may require pre-treatment or repairs before pressure washing can be carried out effectively, and the Customer shall be responsible for any such pre-treatment or repairs unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
Limitations of Liability
5.1 The Company shall exercise reasonable skill and care in providing pressure washing services. However, the Customer acknowledges that certain surfaces, especially older or damaged ones, may react differently to pressure washing and that the Company cannot guarantee the results or be held responsible for any damages or adverse effects arising from the pressure washing process.
5.2 The Company shall not be liable for any damages or losses caused by the Customer's failure to provide accurate information, remove movable objects, or comply with any other obligations as set out in this Agreement.
5.3 The Customer acknowledges that pressure washing may reveal pre-existing defects, staining or structural issues in surfaces, and the Company shall not be held liable for any such defects or issues discovered during the course of the pressure washing service.
5.4 The Customer acknowledges that not all surfaces may come up 'looking like new' but accepts the Company will try their best to clean and remove any marks it can within the limitations of the equipment and chemicals available to them at the time of quoting.
Payment
6.1 The Customer shall pay the agreed-upon fees for the pressure washing services as specified in the Company's invoice.
6.2 An initial 20% up-front payment may be required for services that require materials (e.g. kiln dried sand for block paving), specialist equipment not normally carried by the Company. The remaining balance shall be due immediately upon completion of the pressure washing service, unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
6.3 In the event of any additional services requested by the Customer during the provision of pressure washing services, the Customer agrees to pay additional fees as agreed upon with the Company.
6.4 Payments can be made by cash or bank transfer.
Intellectual Property
7.1 The Company retains all intellectual property rights, including but not limited to copyrights and trademarks, associated with its pressure washing services.
7.2 The Customer acknowledges and agrees that any photographs or videos recorded during the pressure washing process are the exclusive property of the Company. The Company may use these materials for promotional purposes, including but not limited to marketing materials, website content, and social media platforms, without obtaining further consent from the Customer.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
7.1 This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
7.2 Any disputes arising out of or in connection with this Agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
It is confirmed that these Terms and Conditions are accepted by agreeing a date for the quoted works to take place, the Customer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by the terms herein.
